Joju-in is located on the way of Gokuraku-ji Zaka Kiridoshi going downhill towards Yuigahama from Gokuraku-ji. Now, the Kiridoshi became a normal driveway where a lot of cars pass every day.
Jojuin is famous for hydrangea. 262 hydrangea are planted on both sides of the approach to the Sanmon. The number 262 is the same as the characters in the Heart Sutra.
Fudo Myoo is enshrined, but Joju-in is also known as the temple of marriage. I found a clipping from a magazine displayed, which describes Joju-in as a power spot for the success of love.
Because it is a high place, it looks nice Yuigahama view from the front of the Sanmon.
