Joju-in is located on the way of Gokuraku-ji Zaka Kiridoshi going down hill towards Yuigahama from Gokuraku-ji. Now, the Kiridoshi became a normal drive way where a lot of cars passing every day.
Jojuin is famous for hydrangea. 262 hydrangea are planted on both sides of the approach to the Sanmon. The number of 262 is the same of characters in the Heart Sutra.
Fudo Myoo is enshrined, but Joju-in is also known as the temple of the marriage. I found a clipping from magazine displayed, which describe Joju-in as power spot for success of love.
Because it is a high place, it looks nice Yuigahama view from the front of the Sanmon.
