There are many temples in Kita-kamakura to be fun to walk in the precincts surrounded by rich nature. Meigetsu-in is one of these temples. It's also known as temple of Hydrangea, where is very crowded in June by people seeing Hydrangea. But it's also wonderful in December.
When I visited, it's time of late autumnal leaves. I was able to look at the garden on the other side of the "round window" of the Hon-do (main hall). The garden is opened to public during autumnal leaves in November and irises in June.
Add to the garden at back of the Hon-do and rock garden in front of the Hon-do, the precincts is wide, and good to walk around to see flowers and plants.
