Myoho-ji is famous as an alias Koke-dera (Temple of moss). There is a moss-covered stone steps ahead of Nio-mon in the rear of the main hall. Stone steps are now impassable for the protection of the moss, you have to go up the stairs beside another.
Garden in front of the main hall is beautiful and various flower are booming. There is a hall called Daikaku-do, and go further to the side of the main hall, there is a Nio-mon and moss stone steps. There is a hall Hokke-do on top of the stairs. The pricinct is very large and there are a lot of attractions. It is also a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, where it is one of my favorite temple.
