Shorei-in is one of the Tatchu of Engaku-ji and is located on the left of Sanmon. Usually, it is not open to the public except for some periods in the spring and fall. When I visited it was open to the public and I could enter inside. (October 27, 2012, admission fee 100 yen).
From around the Sanmon, I feel its appearance is a little bit feminine.
There is a variety of plants and flowers along the path inside.
The cemetery is located high on the back, from there, it is a good to view of Sanmon and Butsuden (Main hall) of Engaku-ji.
