From Kamakura Station West Exit, go toward Kita-kamakura, pass Jufuku-ji and Eisho-ji, then you can find Kaizo-ji. It is surrounded by rich nature, and it is a quiet and relaxing atmosphere.

Inside the building which is on the left-hand side of the main hall (Butsu-den), there is a Yakushi-Nyorai-zo. Photography is prohibited. But you can find some pictures of this sculpture if you search google. There is a private garden at the back of the main hall. You can take a look a little bit from the fence. An old house-style building on the right of the main hall is Kuri.

Take the road to the left of the Butsu-den, you need to pay 100 yen, you can go Ju-Roku Ido (sixteen wells), which is a total of 16 circular depressions in a small cave.

It is a quiet and calm temple looks good for looking at flowers.

鎌倉駅西口から北鎌倉方面に進み、寿福寺、英勝寺を過ぎてさらに進むと海蔵寺があります。かなり奥まったところにあり豊かな自然に囲まれています。境内は静かで落ち着いた雰囲気です。

境内の花々や木々がとてもよく手入れされており、大変美しいお寺だと思います。

本堂の左手にある仏殿には薬師如来像がありますが、写真撮影禁止です。が、なぜか検索すればたくさん見つかります。本堂の裏手には庭園がありますが非公開です。柵から少しだけ覗いてみることができます。本堂右手の古民家風の建物は庫裡(くり)です。

100円払って仏殿の左の道を進むと、十六井戸に出ます。洞穴の中に円形のくぼみが縦横4つずつ、計16個あるだけのものです。どうってことないもので、わざわざ見なくてもいいかもしれません。

静かで落ち着くので花を眺めてぼんやりするのによさそうなお寺です。
